Kota Kinabalu: The introduction of a new music licensing payment by local body Music Rights Sabah (MRS) is not syncing well with local music users. Local radio station Kupikupifm General Manager Lester Miol said as much as they see the point of the MRS new licensing rule, he feels that it is being rushed into.
“Like other industries, we have been paying for the licenses including that to the national body Music Authors’ Copyright Protection (MACP),” he said.
