Arthur (third right) together with State Assistant Minister of Works, Datuk Robert Tawik and officials from the Federal and State PWD visited the site early last year.
KENINGAU: The Federal Government has approved the construction of a permanent bridge as a solution to the issue of the Km 117 Kota Kinabalu-Keningau-Tenom road that was cut off due to the failure of the culvert structure caused by continuous heavy rain.

Deputy Minister of Works, Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup said, his ministry takes safety and comfort aspects seriously in the design of permanent bridges, especially to ensure that the risk of structural failure can be comprehensively overcome.
