Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s caseload dipped to 234 on Saturday from 294 the day earlier. However, the positivity rate increased despite recording a lower number of test samples.Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said there were 2,407 samples on Saturday compared to 2,841 the day before, but the positivity rate increased from 10.52 per cent to 11.09 per cent.
Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 76 cases, followed by Sandakan (27), Penampang (24), Tawau (19), Beaufort (17), Putatan (11), Tuaran (11) and Papar (10).
“Twenty out of 27 districts in Sabah recorded a decrease in cases, while three recorded an increase. Eight districts did not record any new cases,” he said in a statement, Saturday.
Masidi said 225 out of 234 cases were category one and two infections, while three were in category three, four were in category four while two were in category five.
No deaths or new clusters were identified.
