KOTA KINABALU: The body of an elderly woman was found at Tanjung Aru Beach 3, here, Monday.

Police believed the 73-year-old local Chinese living in Kepayan Ridge, was on her daily stroll in the 6.45am incident.

City Police Chief ACP Mohd Zaidi Abdullah said her car keys were found underneath a Proton Gen 2 parked just 100 metres away from the scene.

“Her valuables were still inside the car. No signs of a struggle were evident on the body which had been sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for a post-mortem.

“The victim’s son came soon after to confirm her identity,” he told a press conference.
