KUNAK: Deputy President I of United Sabah Bumis Organisation (Usbo), Datuk Salsidu Hj Ibrahim, said any activities of the organisation can be effectively carried out with team work.

“In the case of Kunak, I can see that the teachers, students and parents can work closely together and any task can be made lighter,” he said at the Open Day of the District Education Office (PPD) held at Dewan Ibnu Sina, SK Kunak 1 on Saturday.

He noted that the program was in line with the Education Ministry’s tag line for the Merdeka Month, “Bersama Semarakkan Transformasi Pendidikan”.

He said the Open Day was now possible in view of the relaxation of SOP which was formerly strict due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

He added that the involvement of Usbo in the Open Day showed the close cooperation between the government and NGOs in line with the objective of Sabah Maju Jaya.

Meanwhile, Kunak District Education Officer, Ab Malek Ab Rahim said 18 secondary and primary schools in Kunak took part in the program by setting up booths.
