Kota Kinabalu: The Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC Sabah Branch) held its 5th Council Installation dinner for its elected office bearers 2022-2025, as well as the 2nd Women Entrepreneur Committee and the 2nd Young Entrepreneur Committee Installation ceremony on Aug 30.

According to the event organising chairwoman Callee Tan Kai Lee, the occasion also witnessed five Sabah companies receive the Excellence Award 2022.

Tan, who is also a Vice President of  MCCC and  Chairperson of its Women Entrepreneur Committee said her company, TCT Trading Sdn Bhd, was awarded the Excellence Award 2022 which was received by its company director Tan Pooi See.

The other four recipients of the Excellence Award 2022 are Kim Teck Cheong Consolidated Berhad represented by its Chief Financial Officer Sham Pei Ying, JWA Design & Build Sdn Bhd represented by its director James Wong Kein Peng, Radiotronic Sdn Bhd represented by its director Chai Bor Yuan and Antah Juta Sdn Bhd represented by its director Chong Kett Chiew.

According to Callee, the newly formed council committees comprise professionals from different business fields, who are reputable businessmen and  businesswomen, well focussed on one clear direction, that is, to drive MCCC forward to work to benefit our members, especially during this post-pandemic period.

“We all have to work together to be more resilient in overcoming whatever constraints and obstacles that impede us from moving forward,” Tan said.
