Department committed to improving economic status of muslims

Kota Kinabalu: The Waqf, Zakat and Hajj Department (Jawhar) is committed to developing and improving the economic status and development of Muslims throughout the country, including Sabah through waqf efforts and waqf management.

Its Director General, Datuk Selamat Paigo said that Jawhar is making an effort to expand the promotion and grassroots waqf awareness efforts across the country and Sabah was selected as the fifth destination.

“Based on the roadshow concept, we will tour all 14 states across the country and Sabah is our fifth destination where our main purpose is none other than to give awareness to all government, private and community employees about the importance of waqf.
