Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Youth Council (MBS) recently held a friendly futsal match against Sabah Journalists Association (SJA) in line with its goal to reach out to the various communities in the State. MBS president Abqaree Fawwaz Abekan said the friendly match also sought to strengthen the partnership between the council and the members of the media.

“It has always been our responsibility to reach out to the various communities, especially those involving youths,” he said before the match, held here at Borneo Sports Arena (BSA), Kolombong.

He said that MBS will continue to put forward the needs and desires of the communities to the government.

“Sometimes, some of the communities might not be able to voice out their aspirations and wishes (to the government).

Cosmobeauté Malaysia and beautyexpo will expand into East Malaysia with the launch of the Cosmobeauté Malaysia Borneo Festival 2026 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) from May 25 to 26.
“Therefore, MBS will have to act and assist such communities, especially those involving youths,” he added.

The friendly match was divided into two parts, one for males and the other for females.  It featured players from the MBS and journalists from various organisations.

“We hope that we can continue this partnership (with SJA). Perhaps next time we can organise a friendly football match,” Abqaree said.

Separately, he disclosed that MBS will be organising the 2022 MBS President Cup on October 1 to 2.
