PUTRAJAYA: Perikatan Nasional (PN) Chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin would be seeking clarification from PAS President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang on claims that it is reviving Muafakat Nasional (MN) with Umno.

Muhyiddin, who is also Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) President, said he wants PAS to explain what had been agreed between PAS and Umno at their recent meeting.

“I’m also interested to know what actually happened. I want to get clarification when I meet Abdul Hadi this Monday or Tuesday.

“We are going to discuss many issues of great importance and of course to get clarification if there is any such discussion and what is the outcome, is Umno agreeable to that arrangement, (and) what is the position of PN,” he told media at the sixth-anniversary celebration of Bersatu, here, Saturday. Earlier, the media reported that a meeting between Abdul Hadi and Ahmad Zahid which took place on Tuesday discussed MN in order to avoid clashes between the two parties in the upcoming general election (GE). Earlier, PAS Secretary-General Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan was reported as saying that there are informal talks between the party and certain Umno leaders on cooperation ahead of GE15.
