KOTA KINABALU: Sabah rose to the occasion to emerge overall champion in the just-concluded Malaysian School Sports Council (MSSM) Athletics Championship 2022, at the National Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, Saturday.
The State contingent grabbed 41 medals – 15 gold medals, 16 silvers and 10 bronzes, in the five-day meet which ended on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, in a Facebook post, Sunday, congratulated the team for their achievement.
"We are proud with your achievement and and this victory is meaningful for everyone in Sabah," he said.
