Kota Kinabalu: City Hall issued the maximum compound of RM500 to a fishing company after one of its vessels was filmed dumping waste into the sea.
Mayor, Datuk Noorliza Awang Alip said an individual had volunteered as a witness according to the (Anti-Littering) By-Laws.
“The company concerned admitted the offence committed by their employees.

“Fishing vessel owners are advised to constantly remind and monitor their workers not to throw garbage into the sea,” she said.
She urged fishing boat owners to advise their employees not to dispose of rubbish at sea.
