PUTATAN: Some 300 members of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) and Parti Warisan Sabah in the Putatan parliamentary constituency applied to join Umno.Their application forms were submitted to Umno Putatan Chief, Jeffrey Nor Mohammad by the group’s representative, Sulaiman Salleh, Saturday.
The handing over ceremony was witnessed by Umno Vice President, Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid and Umno Supreme Council Member, Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Mohamad.
According to Mahdzir, the party is always open to accepting new members and former members who want to come back to Umno.
