PENAMPANG: The Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association (KDCA) has proposed to the government its President, Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, as a candidate for the next Head of State.
KDCA Secretary-General Suman Yasambun said the proposal was made as the current Head of State, Tun Juhar Mahiruddin's, term is expected to end soon.

"Among the reasons why KDCA proposed Pairin for the position is because he comes from the largest race in Sabah," he told a press conference, at the KDCA office, here, Wednesday.
Furthermore, he said, Pairin had served as a Chief Minister and the Kadazan Dusun Murut (KDM) community had chosen him to be their "Huguan Siou" (paramount leader).
