KOTA KINABALU: A weak earthquake, measuring 3.2 on the Richter Scale, hit Kunak, at 11.10pm, Wednesday, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

It said in a statement that the quake was detected 13km southwest of Kunak, at a depth of 10km.

Tremors were felt around Kunak, MetMalaysia said, while adding that it would continue to monitor the situation closely.
