JAKARTA: Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated that Indonesia is currently still the country clocking the second-highest growth among the G20 member countries, just after Saudi Arabia.

“Having a fairly strong domestic market, the Indonesian economy is also relatively safe on the insides, and it is predicted that next year’s economic growth will be between 4.8 percent and 5.2 percent,” the minister noted in an official statement received on Saturday.

The impressive performance of the Indonesian economy would also be kept up during 2022, supported by reassuring external factors, so Indonesia was not considered as being a country prone to financial problems.

However, in light of the uncertainty and threat of a global recession lately, the government has continued to take various anticipatory measures as well as foster optimism for the national economy.
