PETALING JAYA: Amanah will contest six parliamentary seats in Selangor in the next general election (GE15).
Selangor Amanah chairman Izham Hashim said the seats are Shah Alam, Kota Raja, Kuala Selangor, Sepang, Hulu Langat and Sabak Bernam.
Except for Sabak Bernam, Amanah contested the same seats, and won them, during the last general election in 2018.
“The candidates’ names have been discussed, but we can’t reveal them yet. The names change everyday,” said Izham when met at a programme to hand over flood relief aid here.
Izham also said Amanah hoped to contest in 50 parliamentary seats across the country.
However, the exact number has yet to be finalised.
Amanah president Mohamad Sabu had previously said the party would contest more seats in GE15.
