Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Covid-19 caseload continued to climb to 181 on Saturday from 162 the day earlier, with Kota Kinabalu accounting for more than half of cases.
Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said a slightly higher number of test samples were collected (1,690) while the positivity rate increased to 10.71 per cent from 8.17 per cent.
Kota Kinabalu recorded 102 cases, followed by Penampang (17), Keningau (9), Kota Marudu (9), Putatan (8), Lahad Datu (7) and Papar (6).
“Cases in Kota Kinabalu nearly doubled from the day earlier. 14 districts did not record any new infections,” said Masidi in a statement, Saturday.
He said 176 out of 181 cases were category one and two infections, while two cases were each recorded in category three and four while one case was recorded in category five. No deaths or new clusters were identified.
