PAPAR: The upcoming Park Lane City in Benoni promises few thousand jobs once Phase Three is completed end of next year.
WSG Group Managing Director Datuk Susan Wong Siew Guen said many businesses including major ones like Servay Hypermarket, McDonalds and 10-Star cinemas would create several thousands employ opportunities for locals here.
She said even the Benoni Commercial Centre (BCC) which has two Servay premises, situated opposite Park Lane City provided about 1,000 jobs in various business premises in the area.
“I can assure that Park Lane City will be a bustling new township being built over 100 acres when Phase 1, 2 and 3 are fully completed.
“Phase 1 and 2 altogether with 88 units launched two years ago and the expected 24 units of the three-storey shoplots both phases will be completed and issued with Occupation Certificate (OC) by end of this year.
“The construction has reached up to the roofing part and thus we are rushing for the completion in order to get the O.C.
“Now we are launching Phase three consisting of 50 units of double storey shoplots following many enquires and high demand for the shoplots.
“Out of 50 units, 20 have been booked and they keep asking to sign the Sale and Purchase (S&) agreement soonest. The sales have been very good just within few days,” she said after the launching of Phase 3 by Susan’s mother, Datin Seri Chen Si Mui at a show gallery in Benoni Commercial Centre, here.
She also saw the signing of the S&P Agreement for the first purchaser of Phase 3 by Wah Yoon Trading Sdn Bhd Managing Director Michael Pan in the same event and witnessed by Chen.
Susan said Michael was among 10 people who had booked 10 units in Phase 3 and his lot is located opposite Servay Hypermarket which is strategic. The rest will be signing the agreements the following week.
“We are very pleased that the sales for Phase 3 units which show the purchasers’ confident in us, who won the best township developer award from Shareda.
“Second because Phase 3 is located between Servay Hypermarket and the 10-Star cinema.
“Many want to book the units in Phase 3 which is a strategic location and due to these factors, we were very keen to launch the phase as soon as possible,” she said.
According to her, people are also looking forward to the completion of McDonalds June next year while the cinema would be ready in March.
With talk of the airport to be moved to Kimanis, Susan said there are good prospects for the Benoni area.
“Without it (airport project), no doubt prosperity in the area (Benoni) but if it confirmed it will double the value.
“Also, with the existing Pan Borneo highway, I notice that the journey from Kota Kinablu to Benoni only takes about 35 to 40 minutes compared to one hour plus many years ago,” Susan said.
Next year, she said Park Lane condominium with 656 units in four towers and 19-storey would be launched in second half of next year.
She said the concept is more or less like its Benoni Garden where the demand was also encouraging and the rental return is assured which make the buyers to buy the units which are now left with one or two units.
