Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Covid-19 caseload increased to 254 on Friday from 215 the day earlier, with two deaths recorded, one each in Papar and Tuaran.
Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the spike was due to a high positivity rate which increased to 12.45 per cent on Friday from 9.53 per cent the day earlier.
Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 57 cases, followed by Penampang (27), Lahad Datu (23), Sandakan (17), Tuaran (15), Keningau (14), Beaufort (12), Putatan (11), Papar (10) and Tawau (10).
“Four districts did not record any new infections,” he said in a statement, Friday.
He said 247 out of 254 cases were category one and two infections while one case was in category three and six in category four. No new clusters were identified.
