BELURAN: Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee has dismissed claims that he is an opposition candidate in the run for the parliamentary constituency of Beluran, stressing instead that he is representing PN which is "part of the government".
He said this is not the first time PN's logo is used in Sabah, in fact, it was used in the 2020 state election by Sabah candidates who are the present Cabinet members.
"I'm a Bersatu member, so the question that I'm supposedly an opposition candidate doesn't arise," said Kiandee.
"Bersatu is a component of GRS and an important component of PN at the national level."
Bersatu is part of PN which is at loggerheads with BN at the national level, but Bersatu is part of GRS which together with BN rule Sabah.
The GRS-BN pact fielded their own candidate in Beluran.
