Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s timber industry remains “unchopped” by the Covid-19 pandemic with RM 1.4 billion in recorded profits this year.Despite facing global market challenges and rising logistics costs, the country’s wooden furniture exports remained stable and maintained 2021’s export figure of RM5 billion.
Furniture products are seen to continue to be the main contributor to Malaysia’s timber exports, which maintain performance in terms of price in the global market.
