Kota Kinabalu: A 36-year-old man was fined RM3,500 or three months’ jail for having for sale 237 bottles of vape liquid containing poison without a licence, four years ago.
Abdul Gafoor Hasanudeen pleaded guilty before Sessions Court Judge Elsie Primus to having for sale the 57-flavour liquid containing nicotine, which is listed in First Schedule of Poison Act 1952.
Gafoor committed the offence at the Famous Electric Shop, Segama Shopping Complex at 3pm on Jan 29, 2018.
The offence is framed under Section 13 (a) of the Poisons Act 1952 and punishable under Section 32(2) of the same Act.
In another case, a 20-year-old woman was jailed 13 months for having a stolen motorcycle.
Wisah Wah Sipu admitted before Magistrate Lovely Natasha Charles to having the stolen machine belonging to one Mohd Noor Sabara at 10.15am on Oct 5 this year at Jalan Penampang Bypass.
The framed under Section 411 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of between six months and five years and liability of a fine on conviction.
The prosecution informed the court that the motorcycle was reported stolen on Oct 4 at Sinsuran area here.
