Unlicensed vapes: Man fined  RM3,500 
The offence is framed under Section 13 (a) of the Poisons Act 1952 and punishable under Section 32(2) of the same Act.
Kota Kinabalu: A 36-year-old man was fined RM3,500 or three months’ jail for having for sale 237 bottles of vape liquid containing poison without a licence, four years ago.

Abdul Gafoor Hasanudeen pleaded guilty before Sessions Court Judge Elsie Primus to having for sale the 57-flavour liquid containing nicotine, which is listed in First Schedule of Poison Act 1952.

Gafoor committed the offence at the Famous Electric Shop, Segama Shopping Complex at 3pm on Jan 29, 2018.

The offence is framed under Section 13 (a) of the Poisons Act 1952 and punishable under Section 32(2) of the same Act.

Wisah was arrested by police during a roadblock for riding the machine, which was reported stolen.

Unrepresented, Wisah requested leniency on the grounds that she was a divorcee with two children and was the sole breadwinner of her family adding that currently, her mother was taking care of her children.

Deputy Public Prosecutor DK Afiqah Alya @ Tinkerbell PG Johari applied for a deterrent sentence.
