TAWAU: The Sabah Football Association (Safa) Tawau will use the World Cup format in organising the annual football league which will be held again after three years of delay due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The president of Safa Tawau, Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan said that the use of the World Cup format currently being held in Qatar this year was one of his efforts to produce world-class football players.

According to him, the football leagues that would be reorganised are the Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan Cup, the FA Cup and the Contribution Cup.
