Kota Kinabalu: The budget for the State Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) has been increased four-fold from RM6.513 million this year to RM22.37 million in 2023.Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan said it was towards the implementation and completion of related infrastructural projects in Kota Marudu, Keningau, Membakut and Beluran.
“The State Government had approved an allocation of RM21.011 million for flood mitigation projects, especially for Kota Kinabalu, Tawau, Beaufort, Papar, Kudat and Sipitang in 2022.
