Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Karate Association (SKA) will be sending five youth athletes to compete in the Karate 1 - Youth League to be held in Venice, Italy from December 9-11.

According to SKA secretary general Julian Chin, the five who made the list are Chrisel Shazell Christopher, Muhd Irfan Shah Mohd Fadli Shah, Muhd Farish Danish Mohd Saidin, Nur Rasyiqah Fariah Raimi and Alvince Zurizal.

“These five young athletes are named for the trip as a result of their winning performance at the recent Thailand Open. “We are also grateful to team manager Mohd Fadli Shah Najmuddin for his sponsorship to make the trip possible,” he said.

The athletes will also be accompanied by coaches Danny Fredoline and Farlin Veloney Frederick.
