LABUAN: The new Pakatan Harapan government not having a Federal Territories Ministry should not be viewed negatively because the status of Federal Territories has instead been elevated with a Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the affairs.

PKR Chairman here Simsudin Sidek said this in reaction to concern expressed by some quarters that without a specific ministry responsible for Labuan, the island was sidelined by the new government.
