Kota Kinabalu: Malaysia Maritime Silk Route Research Society President Prof Datuk Dr Wilson Yong Tung Yung is confident that the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry led by Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing will promote balanced development in the arts and culture industry in West and East Malaysia.He believed that Tiong will be able to industrialize arts and culture to be on par with the global market.
“As an artist who has been in art education and involved in arts and cultural activities for nearly 40 years, I look forward to Tiong bringing positive changes to the art scene in Malaysia, particularly in Sabah and Sarawak,” Yong, who is also the President of Sabah Institute of Art (SIA), said that in a statement, last Saturday.
