KUNAK: Two men sustained serious injuries when their Perodua Kancil collided with an eight-ton lorry along Jalan Kunak-Semporna, near Kg Pangi, here, Sunday.The injured has been identified as Denis Punggat Sambut, 32, and his passenger, Nix Husin, 36. Kunak Fire and Rescue Head Mohamad Omarbatha said a 2.18pm distress call prompted their team to the scene located some nine kilometres away from Pekan Kunak. The team helped the trapped victims out of the car and provided them with immediate aid. The injured were then transported to the Kunak Hospital on an ambulance and an Emergency Medical Response Services vehicle. The 29-year-old lorry driver sustained slight injuries. The operation ended at 2.54pm.
