PETALING JAYA: The death toll from this morning’s landslide in Batang Kali has risen to 16.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing with 17 people still unaccounted for.

As of 1pm, 61 have been rescued.

Earlier, it was reported that 94 people at three campsites near Genting Highlands were trapped after the landslide occurred in the early hours of the morning.
