Floods: Kedah donates RM200,000 to Kelantan, Terengganu

ALOR SETAR: The Kedah government has agreed to donate RM200,000 to help Kelantan and Terengganu which have been severely hit by floods.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said, apart from the cash aid, four containers laden with 24,000 bags of rice and other food items, courtesy of the Kedah Zakat Board, will also be sent to the two states.

“The delivery of the food donation will be made as soon as the situation permits,” he said in a statement here today.

He said the decision to make the donations was made at the State Executive Council meeting yesterday.
