Spirit of unity stronger with shared values, says Hajiji
“As we celebrate Christmas, let us take a moment to thank those in the security forces who are unable to celebrate Christmas and who courageously serve our country,” Hajiji said.
Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said the spirit of unity and respect will become stronger if the people come together confident and united in their shared values.

“We have lived alongside each other as true Malaysians in Sabah. We have displayed tolerance, respect and understanding for each other,” he said in his Christmas 2022 message, Friday (Dec 23).

“This year, as Christians continue the Christmas traditions of family gatherings and celebrations, we should all, irrespective of our beliefs and religion, give thanks for everything that unites us.

“Let us recognise all the good that we have in our lives and celebrate the message of goodwill, kindness and compassion,” he added.

“As we celebrate Christmas, let us take a moment to thank those in the security forces who are unable to celebrate Christmas and who courageously serve our country,” Hajiji said.

“We also thank all first responders, law enforcement officers and frontline medical professionals who work tirelessly to serve and protect our communities.

“Let us also remember the needy and vulnerable in our midst and to react with empathy to their plight.

“Every year, regardless of our current circumstances, we can find renewed hope and joy as we thank God for the abundant blessings bestowed upon our lives, state and country throughout the year. Warmest greetings and best wishes to all celebrating Christmas,” he added.
