Kota Kinabalu: The laid-off workers of Sabah Forest Industries Sdn Bhd (SFI) have only one “wish” this Christmas – an answer to the missing RM130 million compensation which was supposedly promised to them by the State Government.During the recent State Assembly sitting, Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister Datuk Abidin Madingkir said that the State Government had allocated RM130 million to the affected workers and families, through a special fund that was set up for the said purpose.
However, a check by Daily Express revealed that many of the affected workers are still in the dark about the status of the compensation.
