Dismay over internet cut in major industrial park

Kota Kinabalu: Members of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) in some areas of Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP) have been experiencing not only slow internet connection but also reported 72-hour Internet service outage that caused disruption in business activities, said FMM Sabah branch Chairman James Ha Haw Yew.

He said today’s business activities depend on good Internet connection.

“If you were having production machines (IR4.0) that rely heavily on good Internet connectivity to transfer data to server to run, it will give you nightmares to think about what would happen if they were to shut down.
