“I made the police report at IPD Beaufort to ask for RM800 compensation for the damage to my car,” he said.

“I hit the pothole while I was driving from Sipitang to Menumbok to install a unifi and this meant there was also an additional loss of RM200,” he added.

He said if they didn’t pay the compensation he would bring the matter to court to get justice from the authority.

The incident occurred on Friday on the Kg Inuman-Beaufort road which was strewn with several large potholes .

“We drive carefully but we can’t avoid the potholes,” Mohd Daud said.

He hoped the relevant authorities would take the necessary action as it seemed Pan Borneo could not be bothered about the difficulty road users were facing.

Mohd Daud hoped other road users would be careful when going through this road.
