Teenagers hurt in Tuaran mishap

Tuaran: Two teenage boys were injured after the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a Perodua Axia car in Kampung Labuaya here, Tuesday.

The accident occurred at 4.10pm and the victims were identified as Earon Roystone, 18, and Eidree Ortezeddie, 19. Tuaran District Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) chief, Abdul Qawie Abdul Gapar said, they received an emergency call at 4.16pm.

He said following the report,  three members rushed to the scene of the incident along with an Emergency Service Support Unit (EMRS).

“The collision caused the rider and pillion rider to be injured and received initial treatment at the scene.

“The two victims were sent to Tuaran hospital for further treatment,” he said.

According to him, the driver of the car also underwent physical examination but was found unhurt.

“Vehicle and location inspections were also carried out to prevent other dangers.

“The operation ended at 4.52pm while the cause of the incident is still under investigation,” he said.
