“In addition to the development in the Kadamaian Square area, I will also double my efforts to meet the needs of the Kadamaian people.

“This includes carrying out various other developments in this area, especially village roads that the villagers desperately need,” he said.

Ewon, who is also Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister, said this while speaking at the “Ramah Mesra” Ceremony in conjunction with the 2022 Christmas and 2023 New Year Celebration, at the Kadamaian Square Open Hall, here, Friday.

Phase two involved the construction of two four-room rest houses, a cafeteria, concrete construction of the river bank along the market and improvements to the Kadamaian Square Hall facilities.

Ewon, who is also Penampang MP, said starting this year, said he would facilitate special allocations from his provisions as Kadamaian Assemblyman and continue helping churches in Kadamaian. “Previously, I channelled an allocation of RM100,000 through the ‘Sentuhan Kasih’ programme to the Kadamaian Council of Churches and I will continue the same contribution this year.

“I hope this contribution can help reduce the financial burden of the church in implementing church development programmes,” he said.

Regarding the celebration of Hawkers and Small Traders Day (HPPK) organised by his Ministry every year, Ewon said, this year the National level HPPK celebration would be held in Penampang.

“We will also hold the HPPK Mini Carnival in Kadamaian to give the hawkers and small traders here an opportunity to celebrate the celebration,” he said.
