Kota Kinabalu: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim arrived at Sri Gaya here at 11.21pm tonight to attend a meeting with members of the State Legislative Assembly who backed Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor as Chief Minister following Sabah BN's withdrawal of support to him (Hajiji).
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi accompanied Anwar to tonight's meeting to discuss the political situation in Sabah.
The withdrawal of support was linked to the failed attempt to topple the Hajiji-led State Government.
Earlier, Anwar’s flight arrived at the Kota Kinabalu airport and was greeted by Hajiji along with Deputy Chief Ministers Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan and Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam, as well as all seven Sabah Pakatan Harapan assemblymen.
