Kota Kinabalu: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was upbeat, saying "politics in Sabah has made a turn for the better", after chairing a meeting with Sabah BN and Warisan leaders at The Magellan Sutera, here, at about 10.30pm tonight in his efforts to resolve a fallout between the coalition and their ruling partner GRS.
Anwar said that now the ball is in the court of Sabah’s own leaders to work things out amongst themselves.
“Me and Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi are looking for the best formula for Sabah…We can only provide advice,” he told reporters before quickly making a move to meet with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor’s camp of 44 assemblymen at Hajiji's official residence, Sri Gaya.
Meanwhile, Sabah Umno and BN chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, who last week initiated the attempted Hajiji ouster, said his coalition had voiced their opinions to Anwar and he (Anwar) will act as mediator between them and GRS chaired by Hajiji.
