Kota Kinabalu: New Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam will take over from his predecessor Datuk Masidi Manjun as the Covid-19 management coordinating minister on Jan 13.
Masidi, who is now Finance Minister in the new Sabah Cabinet, thanked government officials and the media for their cooperation in Covid-19 management and information dissemination during his two-year stint as the coordinating minister.
Masidi announced the handover to Joachim, who is also a Deputy Chief Minister, in a message today.
