 Closure of Kota Kinabalu roads, parking lots for CNY Carnival
Kota Kinabalu: The stretch and parking lots at Jalan Gaya Block A, B and C (from Agro Bank to RHB Bank), as well as Jalan Bandaran and every parking space at Taman Poket, will be temporarily closed for the Chinese New Year 2023 Carnival which will be held from 6pm to midnight from Jan 15 to 18.Mayor Datuk Noorliza Awang Alip (pic), in a statement Thursday, said the carnival being organised by the Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah (FCAS), will be held at Lintasan Deasoka Jalan Gaya (including Jalan Kinabalu 1 and Jalan Kinabalu 3), Jalan Bandaran and all parking spaces at Taman Poket.

“In light of this, we are requesting the assistance of the general public, particularly the store owners in the affected road areas, to clear the parking areas on Jalan Gaya, Jalan Bandaran, and Lintasan Deasoka from 5pm until midnight in order to give way to the event,” she said.

Road users are urged to use other routes and nearby public parking lots during the temporary road closure period and to follow the directions of the enforcement authorities in charge.
