KINABATANGAN: Two men and a woman were injured when fire damaged a restaurant’s kitchen at Kampung Gumantong Jaya, here, Friday.Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Department Chief Nurul Azlan Shah Jamaluddin said a team of fire fighter rushed to the scene upon receiving a distress call at 3.19pm. “Upon reaching, the kitchen of Restoran Cafe 45 located at Kampung Gumantong Jaya was 10 per cent razed. “The fire was put off by members of the public before the firefighters arrived.

“Three people sustained burns on their faces, legs and hands and all were sent to the Kinabatangan Hospital for treatment,” he said. The cause of the fire and loss incurred are still under investigation.
