SEMPORNA: A group of primary school pupils and teachers fell into the sea after a jetty collapsed, at Pulau Pababag, near here, Monday.

A video depicting the incident went viral on social media which saw children being rescued by adults, believed to be teachers and villagers.

Semporna Assistant District Officer Hafiz Ladja Hassan when contacted confirmed the incident but could not give details as he was still waiting for a full report from the district police.

The police, however, have not given any response when contacted, at press time.
