TAWAU: Eight policemen under investigation in the murder of an e-hailing driver here have been remanded for another week.

A magistrate extended the remand order until Feb 8 during today’s proceeding held inside the Tawau police headquartes’ lockup.

The four rank-and-file police personnel and four officers including a senior assistant commissioner are being investigated for capital murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

On Monday, the victim’s wife was charged with murder in the same case.
