Ensuring surplus food does not go to waste

Kota Kinabalu: The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) further empowers the Food Bank Malaysia (FBM) programme with the placement of retort packaging machines at selected food industry premises.

State KPDN Director Georgie Abas said the initiative was to help the people and consumers in making use of surplus food from going to waste.

KPDN as pioneer of the project in Sabah handed over one retort packaging machine to BTC Maju Holding Sdn Bhd through its CEO Datuk Haji Abdul Kadir M.E Sikkandar, Thursday.
