Theft of engines: Foreigners held
TAWAU: A foreigner was arrested for suspected involvement in the theft of four outboard engines worth RM25,000 reported missing in Kg Bombalai Laut last Sunday.

Tawau Police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said the 35-year-old was arrested at an unnumbered house in Kg Melati Burut on Monday.

The arrest was made by a team from the Bombalai Police Station.

“An inspection found the man did not possess any valid identification documents and he also admitted to being involved in the case,” he said.

The suspect was then taken to the Tawau Police Station for further investigation under Section 457 of the Penal Code.

Last Sunday, the Bombalai Police Station received a report from the victim who said his store was broken into and four outboard engines belonging to him and a friend were missing.
