SANDAKAN: Elopura Assemblyman Calvin Chong hopes that a temporary shelter for street children can be established in the district as a solution to the perennial problem which he said had grown worse.“Although not as bad as Kota Kinabalu and some other areas, it still carries many ill effects here.
“Most of these children do not have citizenship. Some of them sell snacks while some just outright beg. It really disturbs the community,” he said.
