Mosar rescues Korean climber

RANAU: The Mount Kinabalu Search and Rescue Team (Mosar) had to move quickly to rescue a Korean women climber who suffered from breathing complication while climbing Mt Kinabalu on Saturday.

Head of Ranau Fire and Rescue Station, PPgB Ridwan bin Mohd Taib said the incident happened in Laban Rata Mount Kinabalu at about 9.20pm.

“We received a call through the Station Line at 9.31pm about a 55 year old woman climber that was reported to have Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) at Laban Rata.

“The rescuers conducted an inspection and provided oxygen assistance to the victim, then the victims were escorted down to Timpohon Gate,” he said.
