Beaufort congregational prayers at below level one from Feb 17
Level one closed.
BEAUFORT: Congregational prayers at the Town Mosque will be carried out at a level below as of February 17 as the level usually used for this purpose is damaged.

Mosque Committee Chairman Mohd Nazri Ajun who is also the District Officer said this to the Daily Express on Saturday.

“Following the damage to the ceiling, the mosque committee had to move all equipment on level one and the people are not allowed to hold prayers there for their own safety, until the damage is repaired,” he said.

“This is the instruction from the Public Works Department after examining the condition of the mosque,” he said.

He was not sure when the repair would be completed but hoped it would be done before the end of Ramadhan month.

The public could still attend congregational prayers at other mosques nearby such as Vocational College mosques, Bingkul Mosque and Taman Arjuna Mosque, among others.
