Religious studies results up

Kota Kinabalu: Sijil Menengah Ugama (SMU) which is a national Islamic exam for secondary schools, for 2022 in Sabah has shown as increase of 5.14 per cent compared to the result in 2021.

Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin bin Mohd Arif, who is also in charge of Sabah’s Islamic affairs, said the passing percentage of the SMU 2022 result was 94.23 per cent compared to 89.09 per cent in 2021.

He said such positive result showed school administrators, teachers and students were committed to achieving excellence to ensure quality of education could be strengthened, especially involving Islamic education.
