LAHAD DATU: Oil palm smallholders in Sabah are urged to join the Sustainable Oil Palm Growers Cooperatives (KPSM) to increase their income through increased oil palm productivity.

Deputy Minister of Plantation and Commodities, Datuk Siti Aminah Aching, said a total of 27 of the 69 KPSM set up throughout the country are in Sabah.

However, the total membership of 2,537 in 27 KPSM in Sabah is quite low, as it represents 8.16 per cent of all 31,090 oil palm smallholders in Sabah with an area of 200, 965.46 hectares as at 31 December 2022.
